Doulie

Terms of Use

Effective August 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Doulie account or using the Doulie app ("Doulie", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Educational Support, Not Medical Advice

Doulie provides educational sleep support for caregivers. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Doulie does not replace your pediatrician or any qualified medical professional. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in Doulie. If your baby has a medical concern — including but not limited to feeding, growth, breathing, temperature, or safety — contact your pediatrician or emergency services.

3. No Guaranteed Outcomes

Every baby is different. Doulie does not guarantee any specific sleep, feeding, or developmental outcome. Sleep timing recommendations, wake windows, and AI-generated insights are guides — not rules.

4. AI-Generated Content

Some Doulie features use artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, observations, and chat responses. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for evaluating whether Doulie's suggestions fit your baby's specific situation, and for consulting a qualified professional when needed.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Doulie. By using Doulie you confirm you meet these requirements.

6. Account and Security

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your Doulie account — including the email you sign in with, your Apple ID if you use Sign in with Apple, and any device the app is installed on. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

Doulie offers auto-renewing subscriptions with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase after the free trial. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under their published refund policy — Doulie does not process refunds directly. Pricing may change. We'll notify you of any changes before they take effect.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use Doulie for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code; (c) interfere with the app's operation or security; (d) use the app to harm or endanger any child or person.

9. Your Content

Logs, notes, and chat messages you enter remain your content. You grant Doulie a limited license to process this content to provide the service (including generating personalized AI guidance, when you've enabled it). We do not sell your content. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

10. Intellectual Property

The Doulie app, name, design, and underlying software are owned by Doulie and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the app.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doulie and its officers, employees, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of sleep, harm to a child, or any other consequence — arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to Doulie is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid Doulie in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Termination

You can stop using Doulie at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that could harm Doulie, other users, or any child.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Doulie after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Caregiver Sharing

Doulie lets you invite another caregiver to your household record by sharing a short invite code. By sharing a code you authorize that person to view and add to your baby's profile and logs; by redeeming a code you accept the same for the household you join. Only share codes with people you trust with this information. Either caregiver can end sharing at any time from Settings, which immediately removes the other account's access. Each caregiver needs their own Doulie account and, where required, their own subscription. You are responsible for the accuracy of entries made under your account.
